The Impressive Italian ship Amerigo Vespucci is now in Amsterdam. This training ship of the Italian Navy arrived in the Port of Amsterdam on the night of August 18th. This European tour started in July to sail from the Atlantic and Northern Europe to the Baltic Sea for three months. After Amsterdam the ship will go to Spain and will end in Italy where it all started.

This three month voyage is part of the training for new cadets. This school is based in Livorno, Italy. Where the ship returns. The new cadets group exist of 121 student, including 28 women.

The Amerigo Vespucci has a length of 101 meters, 7.30 meters deep, has 36,000 meters of rope and 2664 square meters of sail.

The ship is at the Passengers Terminal at the Pietheinkade and can be visited till 21st of August 2019 from 10.30 till 12.30 and from 14.00 till 17.00 o’ clock (free to visit).
